Where did the Corner Former tool come from?

In 1985 Gene Croft, a professional drywaller, had an idea for a tool that would simplify the job of taping inside corners. He worked with his brother on the details over the next several years.

Finally, in 1989, they created their first prototypes and a short time later they filed for a patent. In the following years they enlisted the help of numerous pro drywallers to test the tool and provide feedback. When they were satisfied with the tool's performance it was time for mass production. After raising the funds they had the injection molds created and ordered the first batch of tools.

Gene did not see the fulfillment of his dream. In 1994, he died due to advanced complications of liver disease. However, Gene's idea of an innovative new taping tool for inside corners has become a reality.

Have you ever felt like Gene did and wished there were an easier way to do inside corners? If so, you need to try the Corner Former tool.
